News Release - Police Report

PURCELLVILLE, Va. September 7, 2017 - 

09/02/2017 – 10:30a.m.    700 Blk. E. Main St.     Hit and Run Crash 

The complainant reported that she was walking through the parking lot of a business and a silver sedan backed into her and struck her. The driver stopped and asked if she was o.k. and she acknowledged that she was and the driver then drove off. Several hours later, the complainant was complaining of pain and decided to contact the police. The incident is under investigation.

09/03/2017 - 06:29a.m.     900 Blk. W. Country Club Dr.   Hit and Run Crash

A vehicle had struck a mailbox and then driven off. The incident had occurred overnight.

09/03/2017 – 08:46p.m.    1000 Blk. E. Main St.     Destruction of Property

The complainant reported that a rock had been thrown at his vehicle causing damage to the paint.

09/05/2017 – 04:31a.m.     500 Blk. E. Main St.    Destruction of Property

The glass window to a bus stop had been shattered with a rock. The area was checked for any possible suspect(s) but none were located.

09/05/2017 – 02:01p.m.    300 Blk. McDaniel Dr.    Destruction of Property

The complainant reported that the windshield on his vehicle had been damaged. Investigation revealed that a rock had been thrown causing the damage.

09/06/2017 – 01:14a.m.   100 Blk. N. 21st St.      Drunk in Public

Tripp Curtis, a 62 year old male of Lovettsville, was arrested for being drunk in public. He was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and held until sober.

09/06/2017 – 02:18p.m.   400 Blk. S. 32nd St.      Identity Theft

The complainant reported that she received information that a credit card account had been opened without her authorization and her personal information had been apparently compromised. The incident is under investigation.
