News Release - Police Report

PURCELLVILLE, Va. MAY 10, 2018 


05/08/2018 – 11:05a.m.     200 Blk. W. “J” St.       Fraud 

 The complainant reported receiving a suspicious call from a person who stated that a relative was in jail and needed bond money. She realized that it was a scam and contacted Police.

05/06/2018 – 02:01a.m.    400 Blk. N. Maple Ave.    Drunk in Public

Police were contacted about a suspicious person in the area. Contact was made with an individual who was intoxicated and provided false identity. The person was identified as Alexander Bernarding, an 18 year old male of Hamilton, who was arrested for being drunk in public and also charged with having fraudulent identification. He was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center and held until sober.

05/04/2018 – 01:43p.m.   100 Blk. Hirst Rd.      Assist a Citizen

 Police came into contact with an elderly person who seemed to be exhibiting the early stages of dementia. A family member was contacted who responded and took custody of the individual.

05/03/2018 – 09:43a.m.    200 Blk. N. 21st St.    Vehicle Tampering

 The complainant reported that his vehicle had been damaged and suspected an acquaintance may be involved. The incident is under investigation.
